In Memory of Mrs. Elizabeth Bambarger.

The sad duty devolves upon us of announcing the death of Mrs. Esnal Bambarger the wife of Mr. Esmal Bambarger. She was born in this county August 28 1827 and died near Union February 18, 1892. She was married to Mr. Reuben Herndon November 7, 1841 and during her married life until his death she was a devoted wife. She was married to Mr. Esmal Bambarger January 8, 1856. She was as faithful and loving to him as she was to her former husband. She joined the Union Baptist Church in 1875 and she has always lived as a devout Christian. She leaves a husband, five children, several grand children and many friends to morn their loss. Though her death had been expected for several months it came like an arrow to the hearts of her husband and children. God called her from this earth to his beautiful home whose sky is never darkened by the shadow of coming evil but was in love not in anger. God transplanted her to this sunny paradise where she will be watched by his own loving eye. Her killer death under the circumstances peculiarity bound up in her tender life agree and for so many loves and hopes. I visited her bedside several times during her sickness and no wife or mother ever received more faithful and devoted attention from her husband and children than she. She never wanted for good nursing and medical treatment. She was attended by one of the best physicians of our county. Her loved ones will find her safe in God’s fold more beautiful and brighter that when here on earth. Let this hope lighten the sorrow of their great loss and brighten the future of their consorted lives and at last be better prepared to meet here in heaven. Come unto me. All ye that labour and are heavy laden and I will give your rest. Mathew 11 XXVlll A Friend
