7 Feb 1831 Smith Obituary - Died in Greene County on 4 Jan. 1831 James H. Smith.
10 Mar 1831 Young Died -- in Tuscarawa County, Ohio on 30 Jan last Mr. William Young at advanced age of 99 yrs. 4 mos. 16 da. Father of 26 children.
21 Apr 1831 Peck On 12 March 1831 at Jacksonville, Fla. where he had repaired for recovery of health Mr. Thomas Peck, a merchant of Greensborough. Left a disconsolate widow, married only few months.
2 Jun 1831 Finele Died -- On Tuesday 24th inst. at residence in the County, Mr. Edward Finele at advanced age.
  Weaver Died -- at Springfield on 24 inst. Mr. Philip Weaver for some time resident of that place.
23 Jun 1831 Richardson On the 18th inst. Mrs. Nancy Richardson with her husband Goen Richardson (in neighborhood of Clinton) were returning from church when Mrs. Richardson was struck and killed instantly by a falling tree.
4 Aug 1831 Sanford Died -- in Mobile after short illness on 22 ult. Mrs. Cornelia L. Sanford consort of Thaddeus Sanford Editor of the Register in 26th yr. of her age.
18 Aug 1831 Gardien Drowned -- On Aug. 11, Mr. John Gardien a respective citizen of this county in Prairie Creek. Arrived few years ago from France. Leaves wife and 2 children.

Lewis

The deaths of Mr. Carson and Mr. Richard S. Lewis, lately from Ky. are painful to announce. Mr. Carson died Thursday evening and Mr. Lewis Saturday last of bilious fever.
8 Sep 1831 Williams Died and few weeks since in Scholharie County, NY Mr. David Williams in 79th year of his age. Remains interred with military honors. He was last of captors of Major Andre.
15 Sep 1831 Marr Died -- Our fellow citizen Major Wm. M. Marr at Blount Springs on Sept. 5 after long illness. One of early settlers of town. Born in Pittsylvania County, Va. Educated as a physician, emigrated to Tennessee in 1798 and thence to this place in 1819. He was 49 Yrs. of age May last. Maj. Marr was a volunteer in Creek War of 1813-1814. Left Wife and 11 children.

On Friday the 7th inst. of bilious fever Mrs. Ann Harris consort of Rev. Eleazar Harris of Greene County aged 21 yrs. The former Ann Dunn.
27 Oct 1831 White Died -- at Cambridge on 26 ult. Mrs. Mary White aged 110.
17 Nov 1831 Pickens The funeral of Mrs. Pickens will be preached at Greenwood, the residence of the late Gov. Pickens on Monday, 21st at half past ten.
5 Jan 1832 Friers Died -- On Monday morning last after short illness Mr. Charles Friers for sometime a resident of this place.
2 Feb 1832 Lewis Died -- On 27 ult Mr. William Lewis at his residence at Flat-Woods in 37th year of his age. Leaves wife and 6 small children.
    Died -- on ult of influenza Miss Elizabeth Sanderland.
5 Apr 1832 Edgerly Died -- In Erie on Saturday 31st of march after brief illness Eleanora 2nd dau of Mr. D. W. and Mrs. E. K. Edgerly age 18 mo.
