Mary Amelia Leavelle, age 88, of Eutaw, died April 7, 2005 at Hospice of West Alabama. Services will be 3 p.m. today at Pleasant Hill Cumberland Presbyterian Church with Rev. Brittain Voss and Rev. Bill Betts officiating and Magnolia Chapel Funeral Home South directing. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to services in the fellowship hall of the church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Wilburn and Bessie Leavelle; three sisters, Clara Mae Swendeburg, Helen Leavelle, and Mollie Allen; one brother, Joe Leavelle; and one half-sister, Allie Florence Herndon.

She was a faithful, lifetime member of Pleasant Hill Cumberland Presbyterian Church.

Survivors include her sister, Ophelia Jacobs of Tuscaloosa; numerous nieces, nephews, and grandnieces and grandnephews.

Pallbearers will be Walter S. (Al) Allen, Jr., Payden Wallace, Allen Voss, Shawn Allen, Dr. Joe Wallace, and Jay Griffith.

Honorary pallbearers are Hospice of West Alabama staff, Forest Manor Nursing Home Unit 2 staff, Pine Valley Staff, Dr. Ron McCormack and staff of Internal Medicine Associates, Dr. Alex and Dr. Ennie Salilas.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made either to Hospice of West Alabama or Pleasant Hill Cumberland Presbyterian Church Cemetery Fund.
