McDonald, March and Co. signed marble tombstones throughout southern Alabama. They purchased the business of Jarvis Turner in Mobile. Brothers Thomas, Peter and Daniel McDonald of Ireland were involved in the marble business. Their father, William McDonald, was a ship carpenter.
